On November 22, 1963 Abraham Zapruder took a break from his job at the garment manufacturing company he owned and walked around the corner into Dealy Plaza, Dallas.
He had heard that President John F. Kennedy's motorcade would be passing by and he wanted to film the procession with his Bell & Howell movie camera.
The shots from his camera and the shots fired in Dealy Plaza are still reverberating to this day.
When the U.S. Secret Service found out that Zapruder had filmed Kennedy's assassination they paid him a visit. The film was agreeably turned over and the "Zapruder film" as it came to be known has become the most studied 26.6 seconds of film in history.
Until recently a stabilised version of Zapruder's film was rarely seen. A Quicktime version of the film is now available at the JFK Murder Solved site, allowing armchair history enthusiasts to view the footage ad infinitum.
To provide some context to what is shown (and to add more fuel to the conspiracy fire), the Last Link recommends visiting the JFK Assassination Film Hoax page for a 'devil's advocate' interpretation of what is allegedly captured on Zapruder's film.
January 2006 brought news of the release of Rendezvous With Destiny, Wilfried Huismann's documentary that purports that Cuba was behind Kennedy's assassination (reported here and here).
