Magic 99, wanting to improve on their usual eleventh to thirteen place showing in the BBM ratings, offered viewers a series of understated commercials, all with the tagline "Edmonton's Magic 99 - refined radio - it fits with your lifestyle."
The station had run spots in the spring presenting morning man Rob Christie as the "face" of the station with music selections that suggested a hint of light jazz.
The fall campaign featured images of creature comforts, romantic moments and a magically appearing 99 over music that seems to have a female target audience in mind.
