POLICE LINE: DO NOT CROSS

Found: Shirley Waquan

Fort McMurray RCMP asked Edmontonians to be on the lookout for a woman missing for ten months.

Forty-year-old Shirley Waquan was last seen in Fort McMurray, Alberta on July 1st, 2007 and was reported missing four days later.

Family advised the RCMP the woman was living on the streets and had drug and alcohol problems. Recent information suggested Waquan may now be in the Edmonton area.

On November 19th, 2008 Fort McMurray announced Waquan was located in Edmonton and was no longer considered missing. Police credited the general public and local media for their assistance.
