project KARE reward extended
On February 21, 2006, a $100,000 reward set to expire in March 2006 was extended indefinitely.
The Project KARE task force has renewed its pledge to reward persons for providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the deaths of victims under the team's mandate.
The Criminal Intelligence Service Alberta and the Alberta Solicitor General and Public Security Department gave approval to make the money available indefinitely.
Project KARE officials say tips from the public will be the key to solving the homicides of sex trade workers whose bodies have been dumped in areas surrounding Edmonton and in other regions over the last few decades.
