When Michael White was out on bail in the fall of 2005, the place he visited most often was not a coffee shop or Costco where he and Liana had done much of their shopping.
It was a graveyard in St. Albert.

That's where Michael tried in vain to locate Liana's grave.
At the time, Liana White's grave did not have a headstone.
White phoned one day to tell me he was heading over to the graveyard. I went up to meet him.
White had arrived before me. I spotted him off in the distance, in a northeastern part of the graveyard.
White was holding his baseball cap and standing where a number of fresh graves had been dug.
I stood beside him.
He said, "Are you psychic? Do you think she's in any of these?"
I told him I didn't know.
The office at the Holy Cross Cemetery wouldn't tell Michael White where his wife was buried. An office worker explained to me they were told by Liana's mother not to disclose the location of Liana's grave not just to Michael White, but to others too.
White said he was around to the graveyard about half a dozen times. He seemed to be content that at some point he likely stood by his wife's plot.

White also said he placed a photo of Liana in the hands of this statue of Christ with a lamb.
One hot summer day while White was in a federal prison, I went up to the cemetery and tried to find Liana's grave. That's one huge graveyard.
I didn't find Liana's stone ... but I did come across the grave of an old boss, George Duffield from CFRN-FM ... then what I thought for a moment was the grave of a famous rock star.
